I am the Community Volunteer for Community Projects. I look after its gallery and community :D

Help Me!

So this is the part where I ask for help! What do you think of the gallery and community now? How would you like to see it, and how would you like to see it change? I'm looking for your opinions. :eager: For any questions, and help setting up your own project or contest, you can turn to me as well!

Of course, you can also always help me by suggesting Daily Deviations... which brings me to my...

DD Suggesting Info

  • Tip!
Click the :note:-button on the deviation page to quickly suggest it! You only have to type my username (and if you want, a short description) and hit send.

Guidelines
  • I can only feature deviations from the Community Projects and (if the contest has ended) Contests categories. Please check the category of the deviation before sending!
  • Send your suggestions to me in a note:note:. As title of the note, best is to put something like "DD suggestion", or Deviation Title by ~artistname.
  • Make sure the artist hasn't already had a DD in the past 6 months. See FAQ #313: How can I find out if someone already has a Daily Deviation?
  • Don't forget to include the thumb of the deviation! A description to say why you think it's worth featuring isn't required but it might help convince me :D
  • If you want to suggest several pieces by the same artist, it's fine to combine them in one note.
  • Suggesting your own work is perfectly fine! :squee: I will not list your name as suggester. If you're suggesting someone else's but would like to be anonymous that's fine too, simply say so in the note :D
  • I always reply to notes, if you didn't get a response after more than a week feel free to note me again to check if I received it. If you'd like an in-depth response / critique please ask :)

What do you look for in DDs?
I decided to add this section in the light of the upcoming Daily Deviations: Behind the Magic week on projecteducate. But mostly to help you decide if you want to send a suggestion or not / to find me things to feature!:dummy:

First let me be clear that I will not feature Daily Deviations very often. In some ways, looking over Community Projects is different than other volunteer roles; my role is more to assist and promote with the projects themselves than to promote the gallery that belongs to it. So that is what I focus on :)

But I do feature them! :eager: I look for high-quality art, that shows that the artist put their best effort in it and that (s)he can be proud of. Though a clever and well thought out concept can help a lot to convey a message and be relevant to the project (contest theme, awareness topic etc) that way. Because that is the most important thing; the deviation should fit the project well!

I may even choose to feature a DD to help promote a particular project, specifically. But even in this case the quality of the deviation itself is important, too. That is the piece I'm promoting to show to millions of potential viewers, after all.

But most of all I also simply want to see what you like, and what you think those millions of viewers should all see.:happybounce:

PS: note, I used to do the deviantART Related gallery instead of Community Projects so many of the comments below may be confusing =P deviantART Related has been taken over by bradleysays.

Isn't Daily Deviations for people who get over 100 faves on a picture?
