Haha, I have now doubled the number of humans I have exchanged emails with for my job search! I now have replies from two human beings, things are looking up.
Data Mining
Now for more interesting topics. For the last six months I have been aggregating a rather large data set encompassing all the users and artwork on dA.
First a review/update of my past analysis. In the past I took a survery of the users on dA. Taking into account the growth of the site since that time, that survey accounted for what is now 7% of all accounts currently on the site. A year later, I'm now looking at all users on the site. Oceania Trivia + Games Chat Recap!
Over the weekend, miontre (https://www.deviantart.com/miontre), alexandrasalas (https://www.deviantart.com/alexandrasalas) and myself hosted a chat event in :#communityrelations:. This chat event was created because a majority of other chat events held are not Oceania time-friendly.
Trivia
Trivia was intense. alexandrasalas (https://www.deviantart.com/alexandrasalas) and miontre (https://www.deviantart.com/miontre) tested the knowledge of the participants by asking deviantART Trivia. It was neck and neck... and neck between monstash (https://www.deviantart.com/monstash), Nyiana-sama (https://www.deviantart.com/nyiana-sama) and ValaSedai (https://www.deviantart.com/valasedai) in the last question.
The final tallyboard is as follows:
monstash (https://www.deviantart.com/monstash): 7
Nyiana-sama (https://www.deviantart.com/nyiana-sama): 6
ValaSedai (https://www.deviantart.com/valasedai): 5
Quolia (https://www.deviantart.com/quolia): 2
allyalltheway (https://www.deviantart.com/allyalltheway): 2

PE Feedback: Critiquing with Resources!
Using Resources in Your Critiques!Writing solo critiques is great, but referencing the instruction of others is
one easy thing to make your feedback more effective (and less time consuming)!
①Why Use Resources?
②What is a Resource?
③How-To Use Resources?
④Where to Find Resources?
For us critics (and artists/teachers too) part of the thrill of providing feedback is finding that unique insight we can provide on a piece. Whether it's some gem of color theory that applies to their painting process, or analysis of a stanza as the development of a complex metaphor, we value originality in our critiques. In all honesty, i
Thank you so much for all the +favs, the comments and +devwatchs I've received and still am for my Daily Deviation "Carried Away". You guys are awesome and I appreciate your support so much!
Now I have a confession to make... I self suggested this deviation to DomiSM (https://www.deviantart.com/domism), so it didn't come as a surprise I received it.
I know from being a volunteer that some people feel that DD's should be suggested by others or that it should be a surprise. Well no, not always. Sometimes you have to fight for your work to gain exposure. Gone are the days where deviantART was a small site... you need to learn how to use the channels on dA to get the e

Gaining Exposure To Art
Gaining Exposure For Your Own Art:
Being active on the site is probably the best and most effective way to get yourself and your art seen. Leaving thoughtful comments on others art will often result in them coming to your page to find out more about you and see your art. Being involved and making friends will promt people to focus on you and your art giving you a bit more exposure. Leaving critiques, helping to moderate groups, posting in the forums, or simply chatting it up in the chatrooms. These can all be beneficial in getting you more exposure. Below I'd like to outline some of the

Happy New Year With Some New CSS
Hey Folks
Hope everyone's had a nice Christmas and new year :)
It's 2012, the year London makes a fool of it's self with the Olympics and then the planet implodes with embarrassment and the world ends :dummy: Should be a fun year!
So what's everyone's hopes for this year? Both on dA and off.
Personally I'm really looking forward to some of the new features we've got planned for the year ahead :giggle:
One of them has been snuk into this journal :eyes:
If there's something new you'd like to see on dA this year what would it be? Drop a comment (even if it has nothing to do with dA) it's been a while since I've posted a proper journ
