The dA +news platform is a great way to adress the community and teach them things about a wide range of topics, and of course to find information that you didn't even know you were looking for! :D Over time I've collected many great articles. This series will bring them together per topic so it's easy to find what you're looking for! :la: Besides helping people find information they need, the aim of this series is also to promote quality on the news platform.
For this issue, I chose articles about Improving your Art. There may be more issues on this topic in the future :eager:
Articles may overlap on some areas, and may contain outdated info though I've tried to avoid this.^^;
(For all you beta testers I included thumbs too! :eyes: they're invisible to non-beta testers.)

As written by `ginkgografix in the Guide to the deviantART Related Gallery, The browser scripts and extensions category is for scripts that add new functions to (or modify current functions of) deviantART.com. Commonly these scripts are installed through Greasemonkey, but some are designed to install through web browsers such as Mozilla Firefox. Keep in mind that this category is for functioning scripts, not just ideas for scripts.
This is perhaps one of the most resourceful types of dA Related deviations :dummy: But, how do you create these? In order to find out, I interviewed a couple of creators of scripts, user styles and apps. :eager:

Here's some tips that may not get you a consistent spot on the front page right away, but that will definitely help getting some watchers and friends, whether you already have some, or not.
First, let me make clear that this is only about 'good' attention – if you just want, say, a certain pageview count, there are probably better ways. ;P This article is for those who would like some people to take them serious as an artist and to actively watch them.:nod:
Also note that you needn't follow all of the tips below, but it's recommendable to follow at least 3 of them. Just one or two will not usually get you very far.

The Stars of dAr - `Mirz123The Stars of dAr is a series where I interview one member of the deviantART Related (dAr) community each time, about personal and dA related matters. Last year's round of Project Educate hit dA Related as well! This year,  rather than reinventing the wheel and simply rephrasing all that was said last time, I will collect them here so that we can focus on some new subjects for the rest of the week. Even outside Project Educate, former volunteers for this gallery such as `ginkgografix have left us many useful articles that can still be used today. Before going into the categories of dA Related, let's have a look at some articles that apply to all of the category;

Seniority Announcement - June 2012
This article marks the latest announcements detailing the latest additions to the dizzy height of Senior members in our community. With just over 900 deviants holding the highly saught after ` -- it's clearly a moment that deserves recognition.

So what does it take to become a Senior? That's a question many have asked and have never really been able to get a straight answer on. Some have gained Seniority as a thank you for their time spent as a Volunteer, or to recognise their contribution to a particular project or collaborative action. Some have gained Seniority because of their community spirit, providing help and assistance to many other deviants and taking time out to promote the work of others in the community.

March 2012dA Related Daily Deviations
Let's start with a little personal note! As March came to an end, so did the first 6 months of my time as Community Volunteer. Time sure goes by fast :D So far it's been a wonderful experience, I'm having a great time as part of a wonderful team and haven't regretted applying even once :aww:

This contest will be open to all mediums in the deviantART Related main category, as well as dA tutorials and dA avatars.It will run from today (3rd April) to May 15 2012. This is a common question from the Community, sometimes phrased as that question, sometimes phrased as a blunt opinion! This article, written for Project Educate - dA Related, aims to shed a light on this topic. :) And it's not gonna be brief
Because, no one can simply answer this for other people. This journal will not attempt to do that. Instead I have tried to gather a variety of opinions on this subject, so you can read several views and decide for yourself! :)

As the dA Related Community Volunteer, I am blessed to receive some wonderful DD suggestions sent to me by note! :love: Of course I cannot feature them all as Daily Deviations, but I still like many of these that I don't feature. Art Feature - DD suggesters!
As the dA Related Community Volunteer, I am blessed to receive some wonderful DD suggestions sent to me by note! :love: in the previous issues, I featured some deviations that were suggested to me that I chose not to feature. This first issue is a little different from others – I became a Community Volunteer in the last days of September, and `ginkgografix’ last monthly DD collection was in July. dA related has a nice community full of fun people and helpful deviations! Here’s some nice places and people to check out for everyone who’s interested in it :D


:pointr: #deviantART-Related - an unofficial group that is about the entire dA related gallery. Updates, news, and of course submissions of all types dA related :D
:pointr: #dARelated is the official chatroom for the gallery. Here, official and unofficial chat events and games take place, and outside of those you can often find people in there too for a general chat.
:pointr: If you want to learn CSS to create journal skins, ~eCSSercise is a great space to learn!
:pointr: `ginkgografix has been mentioned before – she has done a lot of work for the dA related gallery, providing great deviations in many of the devious categories as well as resources for people interested in it! Her previously mentioned Overview of dA related is like a treasure chest for anyone interested in this gallery and community.

Firefox V8 is out I heard. For scripts that are written for dA for Firefox, does the creator have to update the script to fit with the latest Firefox version or does the script adjust? I don't quite get how that works. My llama (AMALL) shortcut only works about half the way it is.

Already did a few days ago and got one of those copy and pasted messages saything they knew about the problem and to go to the status forum (even though there wasn't anything lited in the status forum).

Everything else is blank, even the codes don't show up.
