Movember is quickly coming to a close and the shave-off events are eagerly awaited by our Mo'Bros who have suffered through all sorts of mo-mishaps over the last 28 days. For those of you that have participated, I thank you and ask you to make the last two days really count and reach out to your friends and families for those last minute donations.
For the rest of you, I am making this final push on behalf of all of the deviantART Sta.sh teams to request that you reach into your pockets and make a donation, regardless of how big or small, to the Movember effort. Literature Gallery RestructureUPDATED GALLERY STRUCTURE - APRIL 4
If you haven't browsed Literature lately, it's a mess. Sure, some of it comes from people whose work truly transcends genres (ever read the Library of Congress classification for Gravity's Rainbow?) and some of it comes from how people choose to interpret certain genres (godsdamnit, 'dark' is not the same as 'horror'! No, this gallery hasn't existed in ~6 years. Stop judging me).
But a lot of it comes from people having trouble navigating the galleries.
Based on your feedback and more backroom discussion, we've reupdated things! Please keep in mind that a lot of discussion went into the updates, so when you do get mad about them do it with the assumption that there's a reason behind this

Thanks so much for all your enthusiasm, I hope you all enjoyed taking part. I can definitely tell that many did, judging by the comment counts I saw going up. Within the week you got to participate, about half of you increased your comment count by hundreds, and 5 participants even made more than 1,000 comments!

This article marks the latest additions to the dizzy height of Senior members in our community. With just over 1000 deviants holding the highly saught after ` -- it's clearly a moment that deserves recognition.

So what does it take to become a Senior? That's a question many have asked and have never really been able to get a straight answer on. Some have gained Seniority as a thank you for their time spent as a Volunteer, or to recognise their contribution to a particular project or collaborative action. Some have gained Seniority because of their community spirit, providing help and assistance to many other deviants and taking time out to promote the work of others in the community.

REMINDER Gallery Makeover Project JournalsGreetings Deviants!
As I have no doubt most of you have heard from $Moonbeam13's journal, a lot of the galleries here on DeviantART are having a makeover. This largely consists of merging and getting rid of categories, but please take a read of the original journal for more details.

I am sure a lot of you have seen these gallery makeover journals floating around already, but here is a definitive list of all the journals so far. Please note that not all galleries are on this list, more may be added later. Also some of these links may be updated in future, and we'll be sure to update the link here as neccessary.

Digital Art - Drawings and PaintingsI'll be adding some points brought by the community at the bottom of the journal to deepen the discussion about them, scroll down for the edits!
Back in september, a discussion about the differences between Paintings and Drawings took place. The conclusion of said discussion was in a nutshell; that the differences between the two are not really that discernable which lead to confusion from the community and that was evident for you could see a mix of both in both sub-galleries. So now we're happy to announce that both sub-categories got merged into: Digital Art > Drawings & Paintings.

Spirit Day is coming!

There is also a category specially for Spirit Day related deviations, in Community Projects > Awareness. You can already submit to the Spirit Day 2012 category - so collect your favourite art tools and show your support
