1. Gallery Clean-up Project
The Gallery Clean-up Project will focus on literally cleaning up the category tree in several ways. This first part of this project, is all behind the scenes. Over the years there have been categories that have been "removed", merged, or changed and there are back-end changes that need to be done to fully remove them from the tree. This part will not affect you, and if everything goes properly, you won't even notice it

The second part of this will be ensuring that the categories are all accepting the correct file-types. If there is a file-type that isn't being allowed in a particular category or

On Sunday 1st July, I will be organising a devmeet in Amsterdam! Ever wanted to meet your fellow deviants? Join us on this (hopefully) sunny Sunday afternoon for a lunch, a babble and maybe artistic endeavours and dA goodies...

if you can bring your camera, sketchbook, portfolio, whatever you have

We will meet at 1 pm at the Central Station (specifically, at the Hema next to the Starbucks, at the southern side where the west and mid tunnels under the platforms join), from where we'll walk to the Leids square to find a nice place to have lunch and hang out. I'm working on a plan B in case of bad weather.

Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the #communityrelations sponsored deviantART Related Collaborations Contest

Where you have six weeks to work together on any work in the dA related category. A quick overview;
This contest will be open to all mediums in the deviantART Related main category, as well as dA tutorials and dA avatars.It will run from today (3rd April) to May 15 2012. March 2012dA Related Daily Deviations
Let's start with a little personal note! As March came to an end, so did the first 6 months of my time as Community Volunteer. Time sure goes by fast

So far it's been a wonderful experience, I'm having a great time as part of a wonderful team and haven't regretted applying even once

This first issue is a little different from others – I became a Community Volunteer in the last days of September, and `ginkgografix’ last monthly DD collection was in July. So here are the DDs given by other volunteers (mostly `WDWParksGal) in the two months inbetween

Hot off the Press - Our Vector CV is in Print!In case you haven't heard already, `ChewedKandi - our dedicated and definitely awesome Vector Community Volunteer has been working hard with Adobe! The result? Her book has JUST been published!
But that's not all - the book involves 30 emerging artists within the Vector Community and most of them are from deviantART! The book explores their work, their inspirations and some tutorial projects that will help those looking to learn a bit more. This week I spied an awesome topic in *Fuzzypiggy's journal and knew instantly that it was what I would talk about for edition twenty eight. "Underground train system bosses are set to ban all photos under new proposals that have angered photographers.." Research carried out by Nikon has estimated that an amazing 332 million jubilee related photos will be taken on the day of the Thamas River Pageant on June 3rd. That's amazing. 's most previous journal... I don't want to even think about it again... I read it over and over, and the more I did so, the more upset I got. It really affected me- I even was brought to tears.
I have replied to the journal, but he hasn't replied back yet, and I am so apprehensive it hurts.
I am completely lost as to what I should or can do. He is a close friend, and I really dont want to lose him. ;n;

for now all you can do is wait for his response or next journal. Maybe visit his page occasionally too to see if he edited his journal or changed anything else.
