Help Us Save The World

Sat May 4, 2013, 10:40 AM

Perpetuality is a game I help create where your ultimate goal as a player is to make the entire world run on renewable energy resources. In a fun game-like setting, we want to educate people about the many factors involved in this issue and help the world find crowdsourced solutions.

It was founded during the NASA Space Apps Challenge where we won the first national place. But it's early stage yet! We want to keep developing it and work towards our goals of making the world better. So please support us in the international competition! I'd like to ask you to vote for us for the People's Choice Award which is very easy, it only takes a tweet :)

Haha meant yourside, hmm let me wait for and opening not bad idea. Maybe alter some plants to self-repair themselves lol. Nah, real direct problem solving is better option. Does not help to place ideas unless they are implemented.

OooOoo very cool. Wind farms do make me worry about the bats though. I do love bats. They eat mosquitoes, which makes them awesome in my book. Plus they're just kind of cute. On a random side note: My Granddad worked for NASA back in the day as an aeronautic engineer and helped work on the Hubble Telescope. :D

Looks like a really good idea ^_^ Only there are a few problems I have with wind farms.

Firstly the power of the wind farms can destroy the lungs of both bats and humans. Because we're on the ground it effects more so bats by disrupting the air and tearing those poor creatures lungs apart. Those lungs are the same thickness as human lungs.

[link]
"The risk that wind turbines pose to birds is well known and has dogged debates over wind energy. In fact, several studies have suggested the risk to bats is greater. In May 2007, the US National Research Council published the results of a survey of US wind farms showing that two bat species accounted for 60% of winged animals killed. Migrating birds, meanwhile, appear to steer clear of the turbines.

Why bats - who echolocate moving objects - are killed by turbines has remained a mystery until now.

....

In fact, a new study shows that the moving blades cause a drop in pressure that makes the delicate lungs of bats suddenly expand, bursting the tissue's blood vessels. This is known as a barotrauma, and is well-known to scuba divers."

There was also a program on tv that showed a lot of people in nearby towns to wind farms get a considerably higher rate of health problems that go away once they move away from the wind farms. So while wind farms are a source of renewable energy, they're not really that good an idea when it comes to the health of the wildlife and people, and lets face it, destroying part of a food chain will be just as a big a problem as lack of energy would be.

Nasa works with the government, the government used fbi to go through nikola tesla's paperwork, supressed his work and literally sweeped under the social carpet, they have the technology to use real renewable energy for all in the world to use for free, they wont give it to us for free, they want to keep us confined and under control, companies own the government.. which means they own us, we are not free
