A christian I was born and raised
but life taught me to change.
From the good and bad I faced
A Buddhist I became.

Telling good from evil
ain't the pattern of my life,
now I have seen what we will
accomplish with white lies.

A christian I was born and raised
but life taught me to change.
From the good and bad I faced
A Buddhist I became.

I now spend my whole life reaching
for what I will never be,
but I live for learning & teaching,
for the journey to a dream.
And all their trying, all their preaching
will not stop me being me.
This is my entry for =ScENeYmE's All about you contest.
It was also featured here by =WorldWar-Tori :)

This was inspired by my friend :icons1v1:
I told him what I believed would be the best way to live, which - summarised - goes something like this: to find an impossible goal to accomplish and to spend the rest of your life trying to make it happen, and most importantly, enjoying the journey to the goal.
He immediately replied by telling me it seems a very buddhistic way of thinking. I was raised a christian though, and I'm not actually Buddhistic as such, it's just the way of thinking that seems to be similar to Buddha's :D

Title inspired by 7 days to the wolves by Nightwish.

i think it's rather strange, i am a Christian, but people often compare my philosophies with Buddhism. it's interesting in a way, to compare my experience with your poem. life does interesting things.
